Over the past few months, Google has focused on improving the user interface design of Chrome, its web browser. However, it has not lost sight of other very useful functions.
Among them we must highlight those related to the field of online security, such as Safety Check. It already existed previously, but now includes several new features that make the tool much more useful and effective. This was announced by Google through an article on its official blog.
The most important of all is that, from now on, Safety Check will begin to run automatically and permanently in the background when browsing the Internet. Its objective? Alert the user of any possible risk or threat. We must not forget that this tool can be considered as a “security center” within the program.

If a cybersecurity risk is found, Safety Check will immediately alert the user. It will do this if it detects that the security of any of your passwords has been compromised, if the version of Google Chrome being used has not been updated or if a potentially dangerous application or extension is installed, as well as if there is a problem with permissions of the web page being consulted.
For its part, this tool significantly facilitates the granting and revocation of permissions to web pages, especially those that are not visited regularly. It also incorporates a function that provides the possibility of directly deactivating notifications sent by online portals and browser extensions.
Other improvements
Memory management is another aspect that Google Chrome has improved in its latest update. Especially when it comes to open tabs. The browser now offers the possibility of choosing which websites you want to always keep active and which not without having to activate the memory saving mode that was introduced a few months ago.
The latest innovation introduced by the most recent version of Google’s web browser allows you to save groups of tabs.
Not only to save time when opening them in the future, but also to reduce memory consumption if you need to close them. In this sense, since the action is synchronized with the user’s Gmail account, you will be able to recover and delete tab groups from other devices just by signing in to Chrome.
